Lifestyle of the rich and famous

There wasn't always a "Ms. Fierce". At one time, there used to be a snot-nosed, bow-legged girl that just loved her father and mother. Even though she hardly ever got to see her father, rap mogul and millionaire, Joseph "Premier" Edmonds, he always made sure his daughter knew he cared. She never really got along with her older brother, no, but she loved her younger sister--a by-product of her mother's second marriage. Before the parties and lime-liight, Maia loved to read books, and enjoyed doing well in school. Before turning heads, Maia was scared of the opposite sex--mostly due to the way her brother and father treated women. So when did it all change?

When Maia Edmonds turned eighteen and started college at UCLA, the club scene got a hold of her. The club scene, and being the center of attention, she learned to let loose, and really appreciate the good looks her super-model mother past on to her. Photoshoots with her cousins opened her up to the idea of working for her mother, and modeling for her clothing line. She became the face of Salacious, a clothing line made for women with body, and Ms. Fierce had plenty to spare.

Except, the media could be your closest friends, or your most hated enemies. It wasn't before long that the spotlight was too much, and soon the media were flipping to switch, pulling a Britney Spears on the Ciceros/Edmonds/Rivera clan. Every day there seemed like an article was in the tabloids, E! News had something to say, and we need not speak about the photos that appeared on TMZ. From her dates with rapper Nico "Saint" Ramirez, upcoming football star Jhonny Andrews, and finally the goodie-too-shoe Parker Morgan--the landscaper, the media truly had an affair.

So what's for it? Give up, move on, and get out of the lime-light? Ehhhh, wrong. Not Maia Edmonds, she's Ms. Fierce, and won't go down without a fight. Radio appearances, fashion week, tv spotlights she can handle. People digging into her on-going love life, piece of cake. Signature smile, cat-like gold/hazel eyes always a-glow. She's one tough cookie, and she showing no sign of falling.

What's next? Well, Maia has confided in me that she's working on her own spin to her mother's line for the fall. With the help of her mother and Aunt, Leilani Ciceros, it's bound to be a shocker. We can't wait.

Gucci

So, yesterday morning I got a call from my mother notifying me that my presence was needed at the Gucci show last night in Los Angeles. That was so much fun, because she didn't send the jet for me, I had a commercial flight...and I think she's seriously not going to pay me back. She could be joking, though, because last night she was in a pretty good mood. When she's in a good mood, she's really good at cleaning my clock. I mean...left and right, punches and rolls, dissing me like she's a pro. Well, she is a pro at her age. HA!

She's probably going to get me for that later, but that's okay. I'm glad I got to spend time with Kayari, since the little tyke is almost unreachable. She needs a cell phone or something, because whenever I go home, she's always doing something. She has a recital coming up that I can't miss.

Jakai is doing well, I suppose. His girlfriend hasn't annoyed me yet, too, and that's always good. He's probably getting shook, though. There's nothing stopping him from breaking up with her, and like our father, he has commitment issues out of his yin-yang. I might snatch a Teen Vogue spot, which I'm like...hoping goes through. My agent has been on it like crazy, and even my mom wants me to land this gig. I've been getting a lot of work since the show, which I'm sort of glad to be ending, and sort of not. I'm not going to lie and say I don't like the cameras some of the time, but then when they get outrageous? No. That's never fun. Paparazzi at night is a-okay with me, but when I'm trying to go shopping on Rodeo, or even going to school? I don't want them all in my face.

Well, I need to start my poli sci paper. Ugh...campaign watch is not the business.
